About Us

About us

Thinking fast, being flexible and always having a good attitude.

Hi, we're See Creature.
We live and breathe animation.

We’re Sylvie & Dale, a husband and wife team who met working in stop motion television series. We fell in love with each other and with animation.  We founded See Creature in 2011 with the belief that anything can be animated.

We love stop motion because it infuses the animation with a human quality, making it feel more alive and genuine. The subtle nuances and slight imperfections in each frame contribute to the overall warmth and humanity that we all need.

But what’s most important for us is choosing the right medium for the right message. We embrace mixing the hand-crafted, traditional animation techniques with the latest digital technologies and software.

Whether it's abstract concepts, narrative ideas, personal projects, advertising, or museum pieces; we are here to provide the unique visuals your project needs through a wholesome work experience.

Animation is a team sport and we pride ourselves on creating healthy productions where communication, clarity, and trust allow the creative process to flow.

Driven to foster the local and international stop motion community we started See Learn Academy in 2020, an online education platform.

We plant seeds, create bridges and open doors.

JURY

Dale Hayward Film Jury
Sylvie Trouvé Film Jury

Making a film is challenging. It requires a deep emotional connection, sharing unique personal perspectives, ideas, and stories. Each film deserves to be evaluated on its own merits, setting aside personal preferences and biases.

Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, we have gained invaluable experience across a wide range of projects from feature films to shorts, advertisements to series, documentaries to music videos. This has given us a comprehensive understanding of different genres, styles, techniques and the value of story. Being part of a jury is an incredible opportunity to give back to the industry and help aspiring filmmakers grow.

We genuinely believe that being on a jury allows us to bring our passion, expertise, and open-mindedness to the table. We look forward to discovering exceptional films, engaging in insightful discussions, and celebrating the creativity and dedication of filmmakers.
